Pubkor at Lager11: A Night of Song, Sweat, and Sparkling Energy

20. juni 2025

The roars of crowds echoing across Trondheim during the last weeks may have been from musical festivals, but tactically before that fun, It was Pubkor at Lager11, and it was nothing short of legendary.

For those not yet in the know (where have you been?), Pubkor is the wildly fun, emotionally chaotic group karaoke-choir experience led by none other than Vetle Agledahl. Yes, the Vetle, Oslokor´s own conductor. Charismatic, captivating, and somehow able to get 500 strangers to sing in harmony after only half a beer.

As he does, Vetle made the journey from Oslo with his signature mix of good vibes, cool and casual fashion, and an uncanny ability to make everyone feel like they belong—whether you're a seasoned alto choir queen or someone whose vocal warm-up consists of yelling at your coffee machine.

But this wasn’t just any night at Pubkor. This was our glow-up.

We’ve officially moved out of the cozy-but-cramped blackbox (RIP to the era of 250-person sardine nights) and into the spacious, vibey embrace of the Lager11 mathall. It’s a venue upgrade that gave us room to breathe, sing, dance, and possibly cry during the power ballads. With a capacity of over 500, we were nearly bursting at the seams with song-loving souls—and we loved it.

The Lager11 in-house tech crew didn’t hold back either. With smooth sound, vibrant lighting, and the kind of atmosphere that makes your heart beat a little faster, the space felt electric before the first note even hit.

And then… “You are… my fire…”

The opening line of the hotly anticipated mystery song of the night—“I Want It That Way”—rang out, and the crowd exploded. Boy band lovers and music nerds alike applauded, screamed, and sang every word like it was a sacred hymn. It might’ve been spiritual. We’re not sure. We reached out to Nick Carter but we havn´t heard back.

Whether you were sipping cosmopolitans, prosecco, or just clinging to your beloved Oscar Sylte with citrus-stained pride, the energy in the room was enough to get everyone buzzing. No fancy drink required—just good company, great music, and that warm, wordless feeling that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be, singing your heart out with strangers who suddenly don’t feel like strangers at all.

From the 19-year-olds belting out bangers in the front row to the 90-year-old legend swaying near the back (yes, we saw you, see you, and applaud you), Pubkor continues to be a night for everyone. It’s joy, it’s chaos, it’s connection—and it’s unforgettable.

And the best part? We’re not done.

Vetle’s back in August, and again in September, October, November… basically, just plan your life around it now.

Because once you’ve experienced Pubkor, you’ll never want to miss it again.

We love you, Vetle, and we love Pubkor at Lager11!
